| | Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? if you happen to be in Clinton County of Pennsylvania, Swamp Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Pennsylvania is a great place for hikers. Lots of folks from Lock Haven come to Swamp Trail. There's so much to do here at Swamp Trail that you need to camp here for a while, KOA Kampgrounds is a splendid location for that. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Swamp Trail get into the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently |
in the 30's, and night lows at Swamp Trail during the winter usually drop into the 10's.
Furnace Run is a stream that you may encounter while here, and paddling on Young Womans Creek is so much fun. While you're here at Swamp Trail you should explore The Cove. You'll need more
| than a day to explore everything Swamp Trail has to offer, you can camp at Bellefonte/State Coll KOA. The yearly rain here at Swamp Trail is about average; all through June this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Glide down the rapids of Elk Creek in a kayak. Pretty far from Lock Haven you find Swamp Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. | |
