| | You'll have to go far from Lock Haven to get to Swartwood Trail but it is a really good trail. Swartwood Trail is a good place of typical rain; June is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Hopper Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and at Swartwood Trail you always meet someone from Lock Haven.
If you come at the right time of year, Young Womans Creek offers some good whitewater; Impson Hollow is absolutely a great location to stop at. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but |
if it's for you then we recommend Cross Fork, and a tremendous place to camp here at Swartwood Trail is Quiet Oaks Campground.
High temperatures at Swartwood Trail through the summertime months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
