Summer brings highs in the 70's to Third Gap Trail; the overnight is quite colder of course, mostly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Third Gap Trail. Third Gap is a brilliant site to discover, and White Deer Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. From a rainfall point of view Third Gap Trail is a quite normal spot; during June this area sees the most rain; January     meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Nittany Mountain Campground, and Pine Flat is a wonderful place to check out. Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Lycoming County of Pennsylvania, Third Gap Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Paddling on Larrys Creek is so much fun.
