There's whitewater on Shohola Creek for all you adrenaline people. There's so much to do here at White Deer Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Watonka is a pleasant spot for that. White Deer Trail gets a lot of water; the month with most of the rain is May; February meanwhile is the driest month.
Why not go to Decker Swamp Dam since you're |
here, and a journey to Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River is recommended. Gates Meadow is a gorgeous spot any time of year. You'll have to go far from East Stroudsburg to get to White Deer Trail but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it.

| | good whitewater spots on Lackawaxen River, and White Deer Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Wilsonville Recreation Area is a great local campground. The warmest time of the year at White Deer Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 30's while White Deer Trail overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 10's. | |
