This part of Pennsylvania has a great deal of available outdoors activities. Don't forget to take a pleasant little spree to Big Inlet, and if you came for an overnight stay Ledgedale Recreation Area is a perfect spot to camp. Whittaker Trail is a trail quite far from East Stroudsburg but it is a great escape from the city.

come at the right time of year, Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch offers some splendid whitewater. Through the warm months highs here at Whittaker Trail get into the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually
| in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Whittaker Trail temperatures plunge to the 10's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Whittaker Trail a wet location; most of the rain falls during May while February is generally the driest month.
Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Whittaker Trail. Lots of folks from East Stroudsburg come to Whittaker Trail. Caffrey Campground is a splendid campground here, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Wallenpaupack Creek. | |
