As a Wigfield it amused me that there is a trail out there with my name on it ;-). Since this is too far from where I live I believe once the weather get nicer I'll have to go hike it. | | Wigfield Trail is a trail quite far from Cumberland but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Wigfield Trail in Bedford County, Pennsylvania is a good choice. Through the months of summer highs here at Wigfield Trail get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wigfield Trail. Laurel Branch flows through this neighborhood, and close by you find |
Summerville Gap which is a tremendous place to pop by.
There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Flintstone Creek, and Wigfield Trail is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Hidden Springs Campground is a magnificent local campground. A common amount of rainfall
| falls here at Wigfield Trail; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
There's whitewater on Town Creek for all you adrenaline people, and camping at Rocky Gap State Park is always a tremendous experience. | |
