| | Pennsylvania is a great outdoors state. Yost Run Trail is located quite a long drive from State College but it sure is a nice trail. Nearby Log Hollow is a good place to go if you're at Yost Run Trail, and there are plenty of folks from State College here at Yost Run Trail. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black Moshannon Creek, and getting to Second Fork from Yost Run Trail is easy.

is a really good place to spend some time. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. During the summertime at Yost Run Trail highs are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and
| after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Yost Run Trail sink into the 10's.
Moshannon River is a wonderful whitewater spot in close proximity to Yost Run Trail; Fort Bellefonte Campground is a great campground here. Camping at Yost Run Trail is good fun, Snow Shoe Park is a good local campground, and some of the water close by flows, like Horse Fork. All the water falling down from the sky makes Yost Run Trail a wet place; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most; January on the other hand is the driest.
