Playa de Tamarindo is close to Fuerte Trail if you're in a beach type of mood; get yourself into a kayak and hit Anasco River. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Fuerte Trail has it all. This is such a fun river. If you want to hit the beach, Playa de Jaboncillo is in the vicinity, and there are plenty of folks from Yauco here. Bosque Estatal de Guanica is a great local forest;     get wet paddling on Guabo River. Through the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 90's at Fuerte Trail, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 80's while Fuerte Trail night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 60's. Much rainfall falls at Fuerte Trail; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
