| | Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Vereda La Mina in Rio Grande County, Puerto Rico is the outdoors at it's best. You'll have to go far from Fajardo to get to Vereda La Mina but it is a great escape from the city. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Vereda La Mina. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 70's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 80's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Vereda La Mina fall into the 70's. Vereda La Mina gets a lot of water; |
the month with most of the rain is November; February is the month with the least moisture.
With so many outdoors activities available in Puerto Rico you'll never get bored. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Vereda La Mina has it all. Bano de Oro is a great
| site to check out. Don't leave Vereda La Mina without first paying a visit to Catarata de la Mina, and you can spend the day on the beach at Balneario Luquillo.
You'll meet a lot of folks from Fajardo here, and Quebrada Juan Diego is a delightful place to spend some time. One of the best things about Vereda La Mina is its proximity to La Pared Beach, and there's some flowing water close by, Rio de la Mina is a stream you can take a look at while you're here. The trees of Caribbean National Forest are a splendid source of shade on hot summer days, and a journey to Fuente Piscina will fill your soul with glorious feelings.
