This is my first trip crossing the trail back in 1992. I have went through 3 times and will do again this year (2011). It is a wonderfull and very peacefull experience. Best season to do this journey is between December and April
when the vegetation is low and also dry season and I also recommend to do it from South to North starting at Sector La Vega in Barrio Planas and ending in Sector La Palma in Barrio Galateo.

Pretty
far from Aguadilla-Isabela-San SebastiŠn you find Vereda de las Cotorras but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. Puerto Rico is a great outdoors state. Playa Punta Borinquen is in the neighborhood of Vereda de las Cotorras and is a gorgeous beach to check out, and if you're visiting from Isabela, you won't be the only one. A trip to Playa La Ruina right next door to Vereda de las Cotorras is always a great idea; if you wish for a little side
journey, try Valle de las Cotorras. Whitewater paddling is great on Guabo River, and Bosque Estatal de Guajataca is a magnificent forest neighborhood close by. In the event that you donít have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Anasco River.
