| | A long drive separates Willimantic from Border Trail, but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. Very brilliant water scenery is available at Peck Pond Dam near Border Trail; camping is available at Buck Hill Family Campground. A fine forest in close proximity to Border Trail is George Washington Memorial State Forest, and Border Trail is a place with many visitors from Willimantic. The high level of precipitation makes Border Trail a relatively wet place; November is when you get the most rain here while February |

is typically the driest month. This river is so wonderful. Camping at Bowdish Lake Camping Area is always a splendid experience, and some nearby water includes Keach Brook. High temperatures at Border Trail through the summer months are in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily
| in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Border Trail. Blackmore Brook is in the vicinity of Border Trail and is always a delight to stop at, and Quinebaug River is a good whitewater spot close by. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Border Trail in Providence County, Rhode Island is just what you need. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Border Trail. A spree to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear and Branch. | |
