  Pretty far from Willimantic you find Ross Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Providence County of Rhode Island, Ross Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Summertime at Ross Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Ross Trail throughout the winter ordinarily
    sink into the 10's. Ross Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest.

Beach is close to Ross Trail if you're in a beach type of mood, and if you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some great whitewater. There are plenty of people from Willimantic here at Ross Trail. There's so much to do here at Ross Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Echo Lake Campground is a great location for that.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear and Branch, and if you came to camp Bowdish Lake Camping Area is a nice place to do that. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here
 
at Ross Trail. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Flynns Beach; Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a very magnificent site to pop by.
You don't have to go far from Ross Trail to enjoy Buck Hill, and why not a little side tour to Iron Mine Brook. Dry Arm Brook is a brilliant place to check out; you can take a little visit to Wilson Reservoir Dam if you're here at Ross Trail.
