Walkabout Trail is located quite a long drive from Willimantic but it's one of those places where hiking is great. A journey to Flynns Beach close to Walkabout Trail is always a wonderful idea. A spree to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended; at Walkabout Trail you always meet someone from Pascoag. A good location to camp here at
Walkabout Trail is Buck Hill Family Campground, and soar down the rapids of Quinebaug River in a kayak. At Bowdish Reservoir Dam in the vicinity of Walkabout Trail there are some attention-grabbing things to see. You don't should
go far from Walkabout Trail to enjoy George Washington Memorial State Forest; paddling on Clear and Branch is so much fun. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the vicinity of Walkabout Trail. On a beautiful day you can go to YWCA Beach next to Walkabout Trail, and Walkabout Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Bowdish Lake Camping Area is a great local campground. You positively should check out Quaddick State Park while you're here
at Walkabout Trail. Walkabout Trail commonly gets a great deal of rainfall. Most of the rain falls during November, and the driest month is February. For the duration of the summertime months at Walkabout Trail highs are generally in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, frequently in the 50's.
