| | In the Black Hills there are many great hiking trails, it's a great hiking area. Bear Gulch Trail is a long drive away from Spearfish but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. Bear Gulch Trail gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and January is when it's the driest.
