| | In the Black Hills there are many great hiking trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. If you are in South Dakota during hiking season you have to go hiking. This river is so great. A short tour to Schoolhouse Spring is always worthwhile, and North Beaver Creek is next to Pettigrew Trail and is always a delight to take a look at. Stay the night at Timon Campground, and Lightning Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out.

has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby; South Fork Schoolhouse Gulch is another brilliant location to stop by close by. There's so much to do here at Pettigrew Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Rod and Gun Campground is a tremendous place for that, and there
| are plenty of folks from Spearfish here at Pettigrew Trail. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Pettigrew Trail in Lawrence County, South Dakota is just the place.
Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Pettigrew Trail is excellent!. It's a long drive from Spearfish to Pettigrew Trail but hiking it is great fun any time.
