At Rim Rock Trail you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls during June; January meanwhile is the driest month. You'll meet a lot of people from Spearfish here, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Deer Creek. The warmest time of the year at Rim Rock Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends     down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Rim Rock Trail. If you would like a little side tour, try Dry Gulch. Rim Rock Trail is a long drive away from Spearfish but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. At this river you will always have a good time. Why not stop at Iron Creek Dam since you're here, and why not camp at Rod and Gun Campground while you're here at Rim Rock Trail. South Dakota is a great place for hikers. Just can't get enough of the Black Hills.
