  While visiting this area in Tennessee it's a good idea to go hiking too. Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a long drive away from Sevierville but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Yeah, come up here to the Great Smoky Mountains for a delightful time. Big Tommy Branch flows through this vicinity, and Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a great spot to camp, Cable Cove Campground is a great spot.
Ekaneetlee Gap is near Appalachian National Scenic Trail and is a nice place; a delightful location for whitewater paddling
    is Little River - West Prong. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Great Smoky Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains.
Throughout the months of summer at Appalachian National Scenic Trail highs are mostly in the 80's with overnight lows in
the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Appalachian National Scenic Trail tend to be in the 20's. This is a really good river. There's some flowing water close by, Little Tommy Branch is a stream you can check out while here. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Appalachian National Scenic Trail has to offer, you can camp at Tuckaleechee Campground. Finally, hiking time is here again, and if you happen to be in Johnson County of Tennessee, Appalachian National Scenic Trail  
is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.
Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a quite wet place ordinarily with lots of rain; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October is the month with the least moisture.
