| | Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? Basin Gap Trail in Monroe County, Tennessee is a perfect place for getting out. Basin Gap Trail is not very near Athens at all but hiking it is always fun. There are many hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you.
In Tennessee you never run out of outdoors fun. This river has it all. It's a nice idea to go to Big Cove Branch, it's near Basin Gap Trail; Basin Gap Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Coker Creek Village is a wonderful local campground. At Basin Gap |
Trail during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Basin Gap Trail are in the 20's.

| Smoky Mountains. Bald River Falls is always fun to check out, and a great place to camp here at Basin Gap Trail is Tellico Plains Koa. If you crave a little side tour, try Basin Gap. Basin Gap Trail gets lots of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October is when it's the driest.
