truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. It's a long drive from Cleveland to Big Frog Trail but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Summertime at Big Frog Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. High temperatures all
| through the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Big Frog Trail dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Low Gap is right next door to Big Frog Trail and is a magnificent place, and you'll meet a lot of people from Cleveland here. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Great Smoky Mountains. There are some fine whitewater spots on Big Creek, and Sylco Campground is a perfect campground here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Big Frog Trail a wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is October. | |
