I hiked the bullen Hollow trail 2-2-08 with the Geenevile hiking club. This is an old atv trail and the first part is very steep climbing up through mountain laurel and hardwoods.After you reach the ridge line the trail levels and skirts the edge of a small canyon,with views of huge cliffs on the other side.Margarette falls are below this trail and you can here the creek all along the way.There is a nice lunch spot at the top when you reach an old logging road.I would rate this trail as moderate.Total milage 5 miles. National Geographic map # 782 will show you how to get to the trail head.

| | Gotta get out of the city man, and Bullen Hollow Trail in Greene County, Tennessee is a good choice. Camping at Round Knob Campground is always a splendid experience, and Bullen Hollow is nearby, and is a good location. And that's not everything you can do here in the Great Smoky Mountains. A wonderful site to camp here at Bullen Hollow Trail is Hemlock Hollow Inn - Farm, Shoppe & Cabins, and glide down the rapids of Brush Creek in a kayak.

has so much to offer nature lovers. Bullen Hollow Trail is not far at all from Greeneville; it's a nice idea to stop at West Fork Dry Creek.
Get dripping wet paddling on Big Laurel Creek, and everybody loves Jones Meadow. There are many hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains
| where beautiful scenery awaits you. Bullen Hollow Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is October.
It's a long drive from Greeneville to Bullen Hollow Trail but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Summer at Bullen Hollow Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is rather chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Bullen Hollow Trail are in the 20's. | |
