  It's a long drive from Cleveland to Chestnut Mountain Trail but it is a great escape from the city. Gotta get out of the city man, and Chestnut Mountain Trail in Polk County, Tennessee is a really good place to spend some time. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Great Smoky Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. And that's not all the things to do here in the Great Smoky Mountains. Hit the beach if you want, Shady Beach is practically right here, and there are plenty of folks from Cleveland here.
Chestnut Mountain Trail gets
    a lot of water; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the long summer days at Chestnut Mountain Trail temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs during
the winter are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Chestnut Mountain Trail drop into the 20's.
Chestnut Mountain Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, A and B Campground is a fine local campground, and a nice place to stop at nearby is Grassy Gap. There's so much to do here at Chestnut Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Sylco Campground is a tremendous location for that, and Big Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining
 
things at Chestnut Mountain Trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Penitentiary Branch, and some of the water close by flows, like West Fork Beech Creek.
Just can't get enough of the Great Smoky Mountains. At this river you will always have a good time. Shady Beach is in the neighborhood of Chestnut Mountain Trail if you're in a beach type of mood, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Jack's River. Hiking in Tennessee is such a great thing to do.
