  There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and Granny Lewis Trail in Unicoi County, Tennessee is a great place to go. Hiking here in Tennessee is a must. A good deal of precipitation falls at Granny Lewis Trail; July is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Man, is there heaps of enjoyable stuff to do in the Great Smoky Mountains. If you came for an overnight
    stay Nolichucky Gorge Campground is a pleasant place to camp It's always good to explore Spivey Falls. Bald Mountain Campground is a good campground here, and Nolichucky River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Granny
Lewis Trail. During your tour to Granny Lewis Trail you'll meet some people from Johnson City for sure. Granny Lewis Creek is a good local stream, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spivey Creek. Looking for some flowing water? Try Big Branch; nearby you come across Low Gap which is a splendid location to explore.
Granny Lewis Trail is not very near Johnson City at all but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. Throughout the summertime months here at Granny Lewis Trail, high temperatures
 
mostly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Granny Lewis Trail fall into the 20's.
