come on up to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. North White Oak Creek is a great whitewater spot close to Lake View Trail; camping at Great Meadow Campground is always a good experience. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake View Trail, and throughout the night it cools down
| to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake View Trail are in the 20's.
Lake View Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Charit Creek Campground is a great local campground, and if you're looking for a great trip, Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is relatively near. Lake View Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls all through December, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
Watson Branch is a wonderful stream that is worth a visit, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pine Creek. | |
