my parents took me to red fork falls last weekend. it is beautiful. it is a short hike and very easy to get to.  the only problem is the trail brings you out at the top of the falls instead of the bottom. you have to be very careful because the rocks are so slippery. my dad said he knew several people who had fallen from the top and 2 of them had actually died. so be very careful.

  There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. And that's not all you can do here at Red Fork Falls Trail. Stay the night at Limestone Cove Campground. There's so much to do here at Red Fork Falls Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Unaka Mountain Campground is a brilliant spot for that; there's whitewater on Nolichucky River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
Tennessee is a great outdoors state. Summertime at Red Fork Falls Trail arrives with high temperatures
    in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Red Fork Falls Trail dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. If you're here at Red Fork Falls Trail, you could stop at Clear
Fork, and Davis Springs is a striking place to stop by while you're at Red Fork Falls Trail.
Red Fork Falls Trail ordinarily gets a large amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls through July, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Just can't get enough of the Great Smoky Mountains. If you're here, you might as well take a look at Cherry Gap, and you'll meet a lot of people from Johnson City here. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Red Fork Falls Trail in Unicoi County, Tennessee is such a great place.
There are some
 
wonderful whitewater spots on Doe River, and obviously Clear Fork flows through this area. Pretty far from Johnson City you find Red Fork Falls Trail but it sure is a nice trail.
