ERM: Yes, it is dangerous, I have fallen and slid all the way to one of the small pools after the falls....Hike is very short and falls are very beautiful… You can also camp close the parking area if you want to.
kristin rogers: my parents took me to red fork falls last weekend. it is beautiful. it is a short hike and very easy to get to. the only problem is the trail brings you out at the top of the falls instead of the bottom. you have to be very careful because the rocks are so slippery. my dad said he knew several people who had fallen from the top and 2 of them had actually died. so be very careful.
