People who've hiked the trail along the Clinch River just downstream of Norris Dam could tell you about how good this place is for spring wildflowers. 3. 2 miles of trail with a nice blend of flat easy walking along the river coupled with a bit of climbing and a ridgeline hike back to the car makes for a good workout--but one you'll hardly notice due to the grand views of flowers and scenery.

Don't give up when you first start this trail because you'll see only a few flowers along the first 1/2 mile. Beyond that, you'll think you've entered some kind of wildflower garden. Honest--the displays are that good.

  In Tennessee you never run out of outdoors fun. River Bluff Trail is located quite a long drive from La Follette but it is a really good trail. The high level of precipitation makes River Bluff Trail a rather wet place; through March this area sees the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. But wait, there's more to do near River Bluff Trail. Why not take a look at nearby Cove Creek while you're here at River Bluff Trail; people from La Follette love to come here.
In the Cumberland Plateau Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails
    where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Summer at River Bluff Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and night lows at River Bluff
Trail throughout the winter commonly drop into the 20's. Williams Spring is an inspiring location to have a look at while here; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little River.
Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Cumberland Plateau Mountains is so good! Miller Hollow is a brilliant location to check out close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Cumberland River - Clear Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. Don't forget to take a wonderful little journey to Clear Creek; a forest nearby
 
is Norris Forestry Research Area.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has to offer. Fox Inn Campground is a great campground nearby. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? River Bluff Trail in Anderson County, Tennessee is the outdoors at it's best. Norris Dam State Park is a splendid local campground, and Norris Dam is a place that is near River Bluff Trail.
