The spuce thicket trail is in bad shape.The flood in 2002 did alot of damage and the pine beetles that detroyed most of the pines in the area have left many blow downs I would not recommend this trail.

  Spruce Thicket Trail is a trail quite far from Greeneville but hiking it is always fun. This spot, the Great Smoky Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. This place, Spruce Thicket Trail, it truly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Near Spruce Thicket Trail you come across Bullen Hollow which is a good place to check out, and there are some good whitewater spots on Brush Creek.
During the warmest time of the year at Spruce Thicket Trail highs are mostly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the
    wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Spruce Thicket Trail. Tennessee is a great place for hikers. Spruce Thicket Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Horse Creek Campground is a glorious local campground,
and since you're here at Spruce Thicket Trail it's a nice idea to stop by Jones Meadow.
Looking for some flowing water? Try Baxter Branch. There's so much to do here at Spruce Thicket Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Round Knob Campground is a wonderful place for that. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Spruce Thicket Trail in Greene County, Tennessee is such a great place. In the Great Smoky Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.

Take a little journey to West Fork Dry Creek while you're here at Spruce Thicket Trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Greeneville. This river is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Laurel Creek; a pleasant journey to Jones Meadow is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon.
