| | You'll have to go far from Athens to get to Starr Mountain Trail but it sure is a nice trail. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at McSpadden Spring; Little Loss Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gee Creek, and places like The Basin are delightful to check out.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Starr Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Mc Clary Bend; why not pop by nearby Lick Branch if you're here at Starr Mountain |
Trail. If you're dropping by Starr Mountain Trail from Athens, you won't be the only one. This river is so great. Starr Mountain Trail is a good place to camp, Gee Creek Campground is a good place, and a tour to Tuggle Spring will fill your soul with magnificent feelings.
