Take a little tour to Buckner Branch since you're here at Starr Mountain Trail, and Iron Gap is a perfect location to stop at. Much rainfall falls at Starr Mountain Trail; March is when you get the most rain here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Some close by water includes Lick Branch, and a tour to Tuggle Spring will fill your soul with nice feelings. It's always great to stop by McSpadden Spring, and you can run the rapids of Little Loss Creek. During     the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Starr Mountain Trail. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Starr Mountain Trail. Do set aside some time for The Basin since you're here at Starr Mountain Trail, and Gee Creek Campground is a nice campground here. There's whitewater on Gee Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and Starr Mountain Trail is a good location to camp, Mc Clary Bend is a good location.
