Canyon of the Eagles Trail

  Canyon of the Eagles Trail is not very near Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood at all but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Texas is a great outdoors state. Looking for some flowing water? Try Buzzards Roost Creek, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Cherokee Creek. Willow Slough is around here and always delightful to go to; if you come at the right time of year, Colorado River offers some splendid whitewater. Inks Lake State Park is a good location,
    and why not camp at Scott Fishing Camp if you're here at Canyon of the Eagles Trail. While you're here at Canyon of the Eagles Trail you will meet lots of people from close by Bluffton. Camping is available at Hi-Line Lake Resort.
During the days of summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Canyon of the Eagles Trail. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 70's.
