I sat on the top side of waterfall and used a rope swing further down the trail, but no leeches. They really should look in to rebuilding a new draw bridge and maybe organizing a clean up day for the trails stream just past the waterfall and old brige. It has the potential of being like Bull Creek in the Austin Texas Green Belt.

There are leeches in this waterfall!!!!!!!!!! But it's very pretty but not worth getting sucked on by leeches.

| | You'll have to go far from Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood to get to Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. This place is so good, just check out all the amusing stuff to do near Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail. This is such a wonderful river. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Berry Creek, and a short visit to Chalk Ridge Falls is always worthwhile.

a great place to spend some time. Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail is a good spot of typical rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Stillhouse Hollow Dam, and Belton

Throughout the long summer days, highs usually are in the 90's at Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 50's while Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's.
