Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail

We have had several disappointed visitors show up at the Kerr WMA due to this website. To be clear, the Kerr WMA is a research and demonstration site owned by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. It is not a state park and we do not have all the amenities of such. There is no overnight camping allowed and hiking is limited to one existing trail and paved roads due to on-going research on native and endangered species. Visitors are welcome to drive the
main road and bathrooms are available.
Says D. Frels - Area Manager, TPWD

Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail is a long drive away from Kerrville but it is a good trail. Lost Maples State Natural Area is a delightful site
to go if you're at Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail, and do put some time aside to spend at Joy Spring if you're here at Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail. Flat Rock Creek flows through this area, and Fish and Wildlife Springs is always fun to check out. Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Outpost Wilderness Adventure is a magnificent local campground. If you're visiting Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail
from Kerrville, you won't be the only one, and a good location to camp here at Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail is Ingram Lake RV Park. Not much rain falls here at Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail. Most of the rain falls during May while January is ordinarily the driest month.
