| | Emigrant Trail is in a quite desolate area and hiking it is great fun any time. Utah is a great outdoors state. This river is always fun. At Emigrant Trail through the summer highs are in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Emigrant Trail.
Emigrant Trail is pretty dried up generally; through October this area sees the most rain; June on the other hand is the driest. If you came to camp Valle Trading Post is a tremendous |
spot to do that, and you can run the rapids of San Juan River.
There's so much to do here at Emigrant Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Goosenecks of San Juan Campground is a glorious location for that, and since you're here at Emigrant Trail it's a good idea to have a look at Snow Flat.
