There are some great whitewater spots on Virgin River. A long drive separates St. George from Goat Spring Trail, but it's one of those places where hiking is great. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Goat Spring     Trail all through the wintertime regularly sink into the 10's. Goat Spring is a splendid local attraction, and camping at Pine Lake - Dixie National Forest is always a good experience. This river is so great. Nearby Goat Canyon is a tremendous location to go if you're at Goat Spring Trail, and a good place to camp here at Goat Spring Trail is Pine Valley Equestrian Camp - Dixie National Forest. Goat Spring Trail is pretty dry typically; during July this area sees the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
