High temperatures at Government Trail through the summer are in the 90's, and the night is a little cooler of course, usually in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Government Trail are in the 20's. Big Pour Off Spring is an inspiring place to visit while here, and if you came for an overnight stay Goosenecks of San Juan Campground is a nice location to camp.

Spring is always worthwhile, and camping is available at Natural Bridges National Monument Campground. A visit to Utah is not complete without some hiking. Not much precipitation falls here at Government Trail; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is

A great place to pop by next to Government Trail is Pollys Canyon. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. There's whitewater on San Juan River for all you adrenaline kick people, and a tour to Pollys Pasture revitalizes the spirit. | |
