Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Rocky Ford Trail temperatures sink to the 10's. You can run the rapids of Sevier River in close proximity to Rocky Ford Trail, and a short spree to Dipping Vat Spring is always worthwhile. |
This is such a great river. If you came for an overnight stay Piute Campground is a splendid spot to camp. Rocky Ford Trail is a location that is relatively dry usually; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is January. A tour to Jones Corral Draw is always fun, and why not camp at Fats Country Cafe while you're here at Rocky Ford Trail.
