During the warm days of summer at Whipple Trail temperatures are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Whipple Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Whipple Trail is typically a quite arid site; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. Whipple Trail     is not far at all from St. George, and a magnificent site to stop at nearby is Hop Canyon. South Valley is a fine spot, and camping is available at Upper Pines Campground.
