Bear Wallow Trail

  While visiting this area in Virginia it's a good idea to go hiking too. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Blue Ridge Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. A long drive separates Winchester from Bear Wallow Trail, but it is a great escape from the city.
You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and Bear Wallow Trail in Shenandoah County, Virginia is just what you need. If you're going
    to Bear Wallow Trail from Strasburg, you won't be the only one. A trip to Shenandoah National Park is recommended; Battle Of Cedar Creek Campground is a delightful campground nearby. If you come at the right time of year, Gooney Run
offers some great whitewater. Shenandoah River Andy Guest State Park is a good location to have a look at on a delightful day; do pop by Strasburg Dam while you're here. Drift down the rapids of Passage Creek in a kayak; Bear Wallow Trail is near Shawl Gap which is beyond doubt worth going to. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly bountiful here at Bear Wallow Trail. Skyline Ranch Resort is a great local campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Bear  
Wallow Trail with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Bear Wallow Trail are in the 10's. Bear Wallow Trail gets a typical amount of yearly rain. The wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most while February is generally the driest month.
