| | Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Rockingham County of Virginia, Big Run Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This part of Virginia has a great deal of available outdoors activities. Hiking trails are all over the Blue Ridge Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Big Run Trail is a trail quite far from Harrisonburg but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person.
South River is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Big Run Trail, |
and you can stay the night at Loft Mountain Campgrounds. Visit Jones Falls Run if you're here at Big Run Trail, and a tremendous location to explore nearby is Eppert Hollow.
There's so much to do here at Big Run Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Swift Run Campground
| is a great site for that, and Big Falls is a great local attraction. Throughout the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at Big Run Trail. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Big Run Trail nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer.

close to Big Run Trail is Moormans River, and Big Run Trail is not far at all from Harrisonburg. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Big Run Trail. Jones Run Falls is a charming location to visit while you're at Big Run Trail; swing by Jones Run it's a brilliant
place to pop by. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Big Run Trail; during August this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
