This part of Virginia has a great deal of available outdoors activities. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Calfpasture River; Braley Dam is a pretty spot, definitely worth going to. is a perfect local attraction. Through the long summer days highs here at Chimney Hollow Trail get into the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures
| at Chimney Hollow Trail descend into the 10's. Coalpit Run is a wonderful place to go to, and there are some great whitewater spots on Jennings Branch. Take a side journey to Braley Branch, and Chimney Hollow Trail is a glorious site to camp, North River Campground is a glorious site. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Stay the night at Stokesville Park Recreational, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Staunton-Waynesboro. | |
