| | This part of Virginia is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. There are many hiking trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. So much exciting stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just impressive. Camping at Divide Trail is wonderful fun, Deer Trail Park and Campground is a wonderful local campground, and get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Elk Creek.

in a while and Divide Trail in Wythe County, Virginia is such a great place. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Divide Trail, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally
| in the 40's; night lows at Divide Trail during the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 10's.
Why not camp at Raven Cliff Campground if you're here at Divide Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend New River. Divide Trail is a good location of normal rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. It's a long drive from North Wilkesboro to Divide Trail but hiking it is great fun any time.
