  Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Page County of Virginia, Duncan Hollow Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Duncan Hollow Trail is located quite a long drive from Harrisonburg but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Duncan Hollow Trail, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Duncan Hollow Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. If time allows, Shenandoah
    National Park is a national park worth checking out.
Hiking in Virginia is such a great thing to do. Coming to this river is always a good idea. Camping is available at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp, and if you come at the right time of year, Shenandoah River - South Fork offers
some wonderful whitewater. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A good spot to go to close to Duncan Hollow Trail is Burners Gap, and don't forget to take a pleasant little journey to Mountain Run.
Soar down the rapids of Stony Creek - North fork Shenandoah Tributary in a kayak, and if you came for an overnight stay Fort Valley Stable's Horse and Mule Campground is a perfect spot to camp. The amount of rain that falls at Duncan Hollow Trail is close to the national average; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Blue Ridge Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
