  In Virginia you never run out of outdoors fun. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Buffalo Spring. There's so much to do here at Elliott Knob Trail that you need to camp here for a while, North River Campground is a delightful site for that. Lots of people from Craigsville come to Elliott Knob Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Calfpasture River offers some nice whitewater. A pleasant site to have a look at in the neighborhood of Elliott Knob
    Trail is Dry Branch Gap, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Middle River. Elliott Knob Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Stokesville Park Recreational is a fine local
campground. During the warm months highs here at Elliott Knob Trail reach the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Elliott Knob Trail dip into the 10's. From a rainfall point of view Elliott Knob Trail is a relatively normal place. July is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
