Float down the rapids of Back Creek - Jackson Tributary in a kayak; a wonderful spot nearby is Coles Hollow. If you came for an overnight stay Blowing Springs Campground is a perfect place to camp, and the scenery at Lake Bacova Dam is delightful. At Ellis Trail all through the summertime months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and overnight lows     at Ellis Trail during the wintertime regularly sink into the 10's. Hidden Valley Campground is a glorious local campground, and hey, Hoover Run is a glorious local stream. Don't leave Ellis Trail without first paying a visit to Grose Spring; why not a little side visit to Cowardin Run. Ellis Trail is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Having a glorious time at Ellis Trail is easy.
