| | When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Ellis Trail in Bath County, Virginia is just what you need. In Virginia you never run out of outdoors fun. Ellis Trail is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; July is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This is a really good river. Hoover Run is a stream that you may come across while you're here It's always perfect to pop by Grose Spring.

on Jackson River is so much fun. Coles Hollow is a wonderful place to go to nearby, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Back Creek - Jackson Tributary. Cowardin Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and camping is available at Hidden Valley

Lake Bacova Dam is worth visiting if you're here, and camping at Blowing Springs Campground is always a great experience. For the period of the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Ellis Trail. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Ellis Trail sink into the 10's.
