  A long drive separates Boone from First Peak Trail, but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. There are many hiking trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Virginia.
Some of the water close by flows, like Big Wilson Creek, and a tremendous place to camp here at First Peak Trail is Hurricane Campground. Big Wilson Creek is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of First Peak Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Wilburn Branch.
    These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on New River - South Fork, and why not camp at Grayson Highlands State Park if you're here at First
Peak Trail.
