Stony Creek - North fork Shenandoah Tributary is a wonderful whitewater spot near Gap Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Gap Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Fort Valley Stable's Horse and Mule Campground is a wonderful site for that. down into the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Gap Creek Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shenandoah River - South
