Hiked Goshen Pass from swinging bridge along Maury R. Turning left and steeply up To Chambers Ridge, and returned via the Hunters Tr. much of the trail poorly maintained and eroded. Nice variety, and very easy once on Chambers Ridge. Trail signs leave something to be desired.

| | Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? Goshen Pass Trail in Rockbridge County, Virginia is such a great place. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Goshen Pass Trail is a long drive away from Staunton-Waynesboro but it is a great escape from the city.
This spot, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. An exciting thing to have a look at in close proximity to Goshen Pass Trail is Goshen Dam, and there's whitewater on Calfpasture River for all you adrenaline kick people. Chambers Hollow is close to Goshen Pass Trail |
and is without doubt a great place to take a look at; there are some good whitewater spots on Laurel Run. Cold Sulphur Camp Ground is a pleasant campground nearby, and as expected Little Calfpasture River is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at.
Goshen Pass Trail sees
| pretty high levels of rain; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and December is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Goshen Pass Trail ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 30's; overnight lows at Goshen Pass Trail through the wintertime usually plunge into the 10's. While visiting this area in Virginia it's a good idea to go hiking too.
Stay the night at Long's Campground, and why not a little side spree to Calfpasture River. In the Blue Ridge Mountains there are many great hiking trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. | |
