Sandstone Spring is an inspiring place to check out while here, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lost River.

camp here for a while, Big Stony Family Campgrounds is a wonderful spot for that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mill Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Trout Pond Campground, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Trout Run. So much entertaining

Mill Mountain Trail is located quite a long drive from Winchester but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. The warmest time of the year at Mill Mountain Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Mill Mountain Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Mill Mountain Trail gets a normal amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
