| | While visiting this area in Virginia it's a good idea to go hiking too. Gotta get out of the city man, and North Mountain Trail in Craig County, Virginia is a perfect place for getting out. North Mountain Trail gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Craig Creek; camping is available at Fenwick Mines Campground.

This river has so much to offer. You'll meet a lot
| of folks from Roanoke here. There are some nice whitewater spots on Barbours Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Beartree - George Washington National Forest is a great spot to camp. During the summertime months at North Mountain Trail highs are commonly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while North Mountain Trail nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 20's.
