  Oliver Mountain Trail is in a quite desolate area and hiking it is always fun. While visiting this area in Virginia it's a good idea to go hiking too. Why not camp at Bolar Mountain Campground if you're here at Oliver Mountain Trail; Brushy Lick is near Oliver Mountain Trail and is always a diversion to explore. If you come at the right time of year, Dunlap Creek offers some great whitewater.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Ogle Creek; some close by water includes Hickory Lick. The high level of rain makes Oliver Mountain Trail a relatively wet spot;
    July is the month that gets the most rain while February is typically the driest month. All through the summer highs here at Oliver Mountain Trail get into the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows through
the winter for Oliver Mountain Trail tend to be in the 10's.
McClintic Point Primitive Campground is a glorious local campground, and a good site to stop by is May Hollow.
