Open Trail

You'll have to go far from Roanoke to get to Open Trail but trails like these are great. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Open Trail in Bath County, Virginia is a good choice. A good place next to Open Trail is Coles Hollow, and if you're popping by from Hot Springs, you won't be the only one. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Jackson River, and Douthat State Park is a pleasant place. Get drenched paddling on Wilson Creek, and a delightful
place to camp here at Open Trail is Blowing Springs Campground. Camping at McClintic Point Primitive Campground is always a good experience. During the months of summer at Open Trail highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Through the dark
hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's while Open Trail night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Open Trail is a wet place that gets a lot of rain. July is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
